2200 Series Open Side Livestock Shelters
Purpose-built shelters designed specifically for livestock housing with optimal ventilation and protection.
Overview
Open-sided shelters are the backbone of livestock operations across the Midwest. Cattle, horses, sheep, and goats all do better when they have a dry place to get out of the weather without being cooped up in a closed building. Our 2200 Series Open Side Shelters give your animals exactly that — a solid roof overhead, protection from wind and rain on three sides, and an open front that lets them come and go freely.
These shelters bolt together from pre-punched, galvanized steel components. You won't need a welder or specialized equipment — just basic tools and a couple of helpers. The all-bolted design also means you can relocate the shelter or add length down the road without starting over. Widths run from 9 feet up to 24 feet, and you can make them as long as you need in 3-foot increments.
A lot of our customers use these as loafing sheds, run-in shelters for horses, or calving barns. Some close off one end to create a feed room or tack storage area. The straight eave option gives you 7'6" of clearance — enough to drive a skid loader through for cleaning. If you don't need that much headroom, the curved eave model at 6' clearance costs a bit less and still handles the job.
